LDEI Disaster Relief Grant

Description

These cash micro-grants are designed to assist women in the fields of food, fine beverage, hospitality and farming whose livelihoods have been adversely impacted by natural disasters, such as tornados, ice storms, flooding, fires, pandemics, or other crises. 

Criteria

• Applicant must be a female resident of the area comprising the membership scope of Les Dames Nashville chapter, which broadly includes Middle Tennessee.

• Applicant must be actively pursuing her career and has  experienced loss as a result of a disaster.

Frequency Given

Applications will be considered immediately upon receipt of completed application, with notification of decision given within one week.

Amount

We are awarding grants in increments of $500 and $1000. (Note: Any grant exceeding $600 will be reported as 1099 earnings.) Funds may be used in any way to give relief: pay bills, replace lost equipment, get training, recreate online presence, etc.

Please describe your career path, business and the loss experienced.  Outline your needs and cost.

References

Please submit one professional and one personal reference, complete with contact information and length of acquaintance.
